If you love good food, local events, and hanging out by the water, mark your calendar for Saturday, May 10th. The Best Dam Food Festival is coming back to Tega Cay, and it's one of the most anticipated events of the spring.

What is The Best Dam Food Festival Like?

From 2:00 to 10:00 PM, Catawba Park will be filled with food vendors, live music, and a whole lot of community spirit. Whether you're into fish, tacos, pizza, burgers or all of the above - there’s a good chance your taste buds will leave very happy.

Catawba Park, located at 2351 New Grey Rock Road, is the perfect setting for a day like this. It's right by the dam (hence the name), with wide open spaces, ballfields, a playground, and plenty of room to roam.

Festival Swag

If you're the kind of person who likes a good souvenir—or just wants a comfy t-shirt or hat—there’s some fun festival merch available. T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats are up for grabs, and all proceeds go toward supporting local efforts in Tega Cay.

Where Can I Park?

Parking is limited at the park itself, so if you're coming later in the day, plan to use the free Park & Ride shuttle. The shuttle runs from 4:00 PM to 10:15 PM between Gold Hill Elementary and Middle Schools (on Dave Gibson Blvd) and the festival grounds. Buses run every 15 minutes and are accessible for everyone.

Festival Rules to Keep in Mind

Like most big events, there are a few things you’ll need to leave at home:

  • Pets

  • Coolers and outside food or drinks

  • Alcohol

  • Weapons

  • Skateboards, bikes, rollerblades, or anything else on wheels (unless it's a stroller)
